New Season, New You
MONARH BRIDE: Irina, a boho bride with a fairytale dress
Each wedding dress created in the Monarh workshop has a special story told separately for a wonderful man who crossed our threshold. We know how important this piece will be in the life of the woman who will wear it. We know that this dress, complex and simple at the same time, means the beginning of a future together with the man we love. And sometimes this dress that we create is also a response to a challenge made by a dear friend.
That's what happened to Irina, a good friend of Larisa Lupoiu, head designer at Monarh, who gave us the (wonderful) task of creating two gorgeous outfits for her wedding, just like her. The ceremony required an elaborate lace dress with a gravity-defying cut. A dramatic bare back (no mesh) was paired with a plunging neckline and sleeves that would make any medieval or boho princess (as you wish) jealous.

For Irina, her future husband, Mihai created a wonderful setting on Corbu beach and an unforgettable marriage proposal. "We had an archway full of lights and decorative garlands made of shells, candles arranged on the sand, torches and a table where we served shells and drank Lambrusco. It was a dream!", our bride tells us.
And for such a romantic marriage proposal, a wedding party was needed to match. Therefore, there could only be one choice. A unique outdoor ceremony and a fairytale party by the sea.
I had an extremely profound experience and I was enchanted. IRINA SLUSER

"Initially we thought about a location in Olimp, but we wanted something special and beach weddings are quite difficult to organize due to logistical reasons. We finally decided on Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort, in Bulgaria. This location is spectacular and close to Romania, the services are high quality, the beaches incredible and the ideal place to celebrate as we dreamed," explains Irina.

The wedding theme was a boho glam one, as only a creative person like Irina could choose. "I imagined a lot of pampas, feathers, tall candlesticks, country boots and a white dress, absolutely fabulous made of authentic lace. I wanted a special lace sewn with the help of a needle and thread, a method considered to be the pinnacle of lacemaking art due to its finesse and the great time consumption it involves. As for the cut of the dress, I can say that I knew what I wanted long before I knew I was getting married. :)", our bride recalls.

And choosing the designer who would make this wonderful dress couldn't have been easier. "There was never another alternative. Larisa is a very dear friend of mine, we've known each other for a very long time so I know exactly what Monarch means."
The creative process from the first sketch to the last retouched detail took approximately 8 months. A process marked by the considerable amount of time required to create the lace and prioritize the technical details.
"The material of the dress and the creation of the dress itself were very time-consuming, due to the fact that both Larisa and I are perfectionists, fixists and pay attention to details."
The dress had to be nothing more and nothing less than PERFECT! From the beginning I knew that the model would live up to my expectations so I didn't experience any emotions," Irina recalls.

All the effort and attention to detail paid off when Mihai saw Irina for the first time. "It's hard to explain in words. It was an extraordinary sensation. Overwhelming. I felt like the most beautiful and special woman in the world. It was the most emotional moment. Without hesitation, I would say that Mihai's gaze and the emotion he conveyed to me while I was walking to the altar overwhelmed me. It was a gaze full of love and confidence. Not even the rain could erase the happiness of the moment, but only flood it and amplify it! I felt like my heart was going to fly out of my chest!".

When you think of a beach wedding, it's hard to take the rain into account. However, this messenger of prosperity and wealth wanted to personally greet Irina. "I have many beautiful memories from that day, but I think I will never forget the religious ceremony. It took place outdoors and although it rained and we had to protect ourselves with umbrellas, the service was extremely emotional. In front of us the sky merged with the sea. There were shades of gray, white, blue, green, in a chaos that captured your eyes and this spectacle of colors took your breath away," Irina explains.

For the party, Irina chose a loose dress from the Resort Monarh collection. “After the bridal dance, I changed shortly after so I could move into my signature style,” she recalls. The loose silk dress allowed her to dance the night away. Our bride also chose to wear a cardigan

DON'T FORGET HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO FOCUS ONLY ON THE GOOD PARTS, ON THE JOY OF THE DAY AND ON THE PERSON YOU WILL MARRY!

Irina, any advice for our brides?
"Let your dreams and inspiration guide you in preparing your event and don't let yourself be influenced or forced to conform to other people's ideas about what your wedding should look like."
Only respect the traditions you like because your event should be as unique and beautiful as your love story.
Accept the fact that you can't and won't please everyone no matter how hard you try, and that's okay!
If you don't have time and don't want to get involved, hire someone to take care of all the details, it will make your life a lot easier and you will see that the investment was worth it!"
